Sustainability Analyst
We are looking to recruit a Sustainability Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to help build the success of our Environmental Social Governance (ESG) framework within IFGL.
The purpose of this role is to help design and shape our ESG strategy and deliver support for the execution of tangible ESG progress. The role will coordinate analysis, reporting, ESG regulatory returns, and steering group meetings as well as collaborate with key stakeholders from across the IFGL business and third-party agencies. The day-to-day role has great variety and will take ownership for the delivery of underlying initiatives.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for annual and quarterly ESG data reporting to Cinven, and quarterly meeting updates advising them of our progress.
- Organising and attending volunteering events with our partner charities, as part of our ESG Staff Volunteering initiative
- Communicating with employees through our monthly staff updates to keep our workforce engaged around our ESG work,
- Reviewing our reporting to ensure it is in line with evolving ESG regulation.
- Lead our monthly ESG Committee meetings
- Work on our carbon footprint data collection process, striving to find ways to improve data quality
The successful individual will have the opportunity to work with teams in our international offices, understanding what regional differences exist in our strategy and how we can reach our targets whilst accommodating these nuances.
We are also committed to continuing to support our local community. The role holder will have the opportunity to sustain this support, liaising with relevant charities about how IFGL can support their missions.
To ensure that this role is carried out to the desired level, the successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of 2 years work experience in Sustainability/ESG.
- Familiarity with ESG regulations, ESG data collection, reporting frameworks and ESG data platforms
- Proficient in data analysis
- Confident to collaborate with a range of stakeholders (Exec level, Shareholders, External charities, members from various departments) and speak in front of people.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- A proactive approach.
- Degree in Environmental Science or related field would be advantageous
- Certification with CFA Institute or GARP Sustainability or equivalent would be desirable
The is a full-time role which will be based primarily in the Castletown office.

IFGL’s ESG Strategy is centred on our targets and commitments. We have a target of becoming Net Zero by 2050, and an interim target of decreasing our controllable emissions by 50% by 2030.
The individual in this role will ensure our decarbonisation strategy will allow us to meet these targets.
